Since 1994

32 years on the water

Baja Mosquito Fleet began with a single panga on the beach at Km. 5. 32 years later we run twelve boats from the same stretch of sand, with the best captains in La Paz putting you on the best spots.

La Paz sits on the inside of the Baja peninsula, protected by Espíritu Santo and Cerralvo islands. That geography is the reason we can fish nearly every day of the year: when the wind blows from one side, we fish the other.

We are not a booking platform and we don't broker other people's boats. Every vessel on this website is owned and maintained by our family. The captains are on our payroll year-round, which is why they still know where the yellowtail stacked up last February.

We publish our prices because we think hiding them is a bad way to start a relationship. The trip price covers the boat, captain, tackle and ice. Licenses, bait, lunch and drinks are extras — and we list those prices just as plainly.

And we fish for the long term. All billfish and roosterfish go back in the water, we keep only what our guests will actually eat, and we teach handling and release on every trip where it matters.

How we work

The things we won't compromise on

Safety before fishing

Life jackets, VHF, GPS and first aid on every boat. If the port closes, nobody leaves.

Best captains, best spots

Local captains who know every reef. They get you to the fish and keep you there.

Catch and release

Marlin, sailfish and roosterfish always go back. We keep only table fish.

Honest recommendations

If a panga will out-fish the cruiser on your dates, we'll tell you so.
