How do I book, and do I pay a deposit?
Send us a WhatsApp message with your dates, group size and preferred boat. We confirm availability and hold the date. We'll explain deposit and payment options in the same conversation — no online payment required to reserve.
Are prices per person or per boat?
Per boat, plus 16% IVA. The price covers the boat, captain, tackle and ice for the number of anglers listed. Licenses, live bait, lunch and drinks are extras. On the 22 ft panga, extra anglers beyond two are $35 USD each.
What's included in the price?
Captain, deckhand, rods, reels and tackle, ice, cooler, bottled water, and fish cleaning at the dock. Fishing licenses, live bait, lunch and drinks are not included but are easy to arrange: daily license $35, weekly license $95, bait around $50, lunch and drinks about $20 per person. All prices are +16% IVA.
What time do we leave and return?
Full-day trips leave at 6:00 AM and return around 2:00 PM. Half-days leave at 6:00 AM and return around 11:00 AM. Early departures put you on the bite — the fishing is almost always best in the first hours.
Where do we meet you?
At our beach base on Carretera a Pichilingue Km. 5, right next to Hotel La Concha, about 10 minutes from downtown La Paz. Parking is easy and we can arrange hotel pickup on request.
When is the best time to fish La Paz?
June to October for dorado, tuna, marlin, sailfish and wahoo. January to May for yellowtail, amberjack, pargo and cabrilla on the reefs. There is good fishing every month of the year — it just changes species.
Do I need a fishing license?
Yes. A daily license is $35 USD per angler and a weekly license is $95 USD per angler. We can arrange it at the dock before departure, or you can buy it online through CONAPESCA in advance.
Can I keep my fish? Can a restaurant cook it?
Yes. We fillet and bag your catch at the dock, within legal limits. Billfish and roosterfish are catch-and-release. Several restaurants near the marina will cook your fillets — we'll point you to our favourites.
What should I bring?
Hat, polarized sunglasses, reef-safe sunscreen, a light long-sleeve shirt, closed shoes or sandals, a jacket in winter, and your camera. We bring everything fishing-related.
Do you fish with kids and beginners?
Constantly. Reef fishing for cabrilla and pargo keeps kids busy all morning, and our captains are patient teachers. Tell us the ages when you message and we'll pick the right boat and plan.
What if the weather is bad?
Safety first: if the port closes or conditions are unsafe, we reschedule your trip or refund it. Our captains make that call every morning based on the local port authority.
Do you offer spearfishing or snorkeling?
Yes. We run spearfishing charters with experienced local divers and can combine fishing with snorkeling at Espíritu Santo. Ask us on WhatsApp and we'll build the day around what you want.
