The neon showpiece of La Paz summer fishing — fast, acrobatic and outstanding on the table.
From June through October, warm blue water pushes into the Sea of Cortez and dorado follow the floating debris lines. Our captains hunt anything that casts a shadow — a log, a palm frond, a patch of sargassum — and it is common to find a whole school under one piece of trash. Doubles and triples on the panga are normal in a good week, and the fish average 15 to 25 pounds with bulls over 50 every season.
